(5) require后面可以接复合宾语,表示要求某人做某事｡其结构为“require sb to do sth”｡ 例如:
The university required all the students to take the physical training courses for two years. 大学要求每个学生上两年的体育课｡

3. request常含有(正式或礼貌的)请求(对方做某事)的意思｡具体用法如下:
(1) 其后可接复合宾语,即构成“request + sb + to do”结构｡但不能跟“人称代词 + for”结构｡例如:
I requested them to stop making such a noise. 我请求他们不要这样大声喧哗｡
They requested us to rewrite the composition. 他们要求我们重写这篇作文｡
(2) “向某人要求某物”应用“request sth from/of sb”｡ 例如:
What do you request of me? 你对我有何要求?
Mary requested first aid from neighbors. 玛丽请求她的邻居提供急救｡
(3) 其后的宾语从句､表语从句等也要用虚拟语气, should也可以省略｡例如:
The guide requested that her visitor (should) not park her car at the gate. 导游要求她的客人不要把汽车停在大门口｡
All that I request of you is that you (should) be on time. 我所要求的只是你应该准时｡
4. order表示“命令”的意思时,是上级要求下级要办到的事情,具有强制性｡具体用法如下:
(1) 可用“... order sb to do ...”句式表示“……命令某人干……”｡例如:
The doctor ordered his patient to have a good rest. 医生命令他的病人好好休息｡
(2) 其后的宾语从句､主语从句等也用虚拟语气, should可以省略｡例如:
The officer ordered that the work (should) be started at once. 军官下令工作马上开始｡
It has been ordered that the sports meet (should) be put off. 已经下令推迟举行运动会｡
5. ask是表示“要求”､“邀请”的最普通的用词｡由这个词构成的短语动词有很多,其意义也各不相同｡例如:
to ask sb to do ... 要求某人干……
to ask sb a question 问某人一个问题
to ask sb for sth向某人要某物
to ask a favor of sb请某人帮忙
to ask after sb问候某人
to ask for trouble自找麻烦
