履新半年多的吉林大学校长展涛,把一位前任校长、三位现任副校长、一位现任党委副书记,从学术委员会的名单中删掉了。
这位“剪刀手”剪掉的远不止这五个,而是更长的名单。吉大近日修改学术委员会章程,规定所有学校领导和学校职能部门工作人员一律不参加任何一级学术委员会,以实现“行政管理”与“学术决策”的相对分离。
改革,是因为不得不承认,大学病了,染上了官场的病毒。当北大不顾众多师生抗议,拆除三角地时;当广西一所高校,六位校领导隆重迎接教育部教学评估专家组女秘书时;当大学对“副部级”趋之若鹜,蜂拥着抢夺那幸运的第三十二个席位时……有人说“大学死了”。
蔡元培曾说:“大学不是贩卖证书的机关”、“不当以大学为升官发财之阶梯”。可我们的大学正在成为“机关”:市长兼了“校长”、局长兼了“院长”、财务处长兼了系主任、辅导员跳槽到了教师队伍;“博导”、“硕导”不够,还有“首席科学家”、“跨世纪人才”、“学科带头人”、“享受津贴者”……反正咱汉字丰富,名头拉得比拉面长。
可惜,世上已无蔡元培。
大学是该下“猛药”……
